Linear algebra - which of the following are subspaces of r^3(r). can you explain this question?

    There are many ways to find the subspace but the point is whichever method we use should get the same result. Here by using this formula ,I am not getting the same result. So can you please explain by using the formula.

    in (9). both the conditions are satisfied hence it is a subspace but in (10). the 2nd condition is not satisfied. take c= -1 and x = 1, y=1 and z=1 then the 2nd condition fails since -19 is not greater than or equal to -1. hence (10). is not a subspace.
