    Career Planning is the systematic process by which one selects career goals and the path to these goals.
    Career development is essential for implementing career plans. It consists of activities undertaken by the individual employees and the organisation to meet career aspirations and job requirements. 
    Career management is conscious planning of one's activities and engagements in the jobs one undertakes in the course of his life for better fulfillment, growth and financial stability. It is a sequential process that starts from an understanding of oneself and encompasses occupational awareness.
    Human Resource Planning is the process by which management determines how an organization should move from its current manpower position to its desired manpower position. HRP is about right number and right kind of people at the right place, at the right time, doing things which result in both the organizational, and the individual receiving maximum long-range benefit.
