    Line extensions occur when a company introduces additional items in the same product category under the same brand name.
    The strategy of brand extension is used to increase the brand equity in the market. It is a strategy when company uses a well-known image of a brand in the different product category. The new product is known a spin-off.
    A Multi Brand strategy is defined as the approach of the company to market several similar and competitive brands of the same company under the guise of different brand names. 
    Co-Branding is type of branding is described as marketing partnership between two or more brands. It is used so that the success of one brand brings success for the other brand also.
