    1. A nominal scale of measurement deals with variables that are non-numeric or where the numbers have no value. In other words, we can put them in any order and it wouldn't matter. Example-: listing students according to participation in Co-curricular activities.
    2. The ordinal scale has the property of both identity and magnitude. Each value on the ordinal scale has a unique meaning, and it has an ordered relationship to every other value on the scale. Example-: superior performance in musical events.
    3. The interval scale of measurement has the properties of identity, magnitude, and equal intervals. Example-: performance scores on a spelling test.
    4. The ratio scale of measurement satisfies all four of the properties of measurement: identity, magnitude, equal intervals, and a minimum value of zero. Example-: speed of students in writing words per minute.
