    Dear Student,

As per the query you have raised, let me tell you the UGC-NET HRM (Code 55) deals with the Industrial relations, the disputes, legal procedures which a employer and employee needs to abide while functioning, steps which are taken for the welfare of labours and the Labour Market, etc. Yes, The term Industrial relations focuses on a lot many attributes and Labour Law is one among them, for the convenience of the aspirants UGC has divided the syllabus of Labour laws, relations, its welfare etc. into six units.

Industrial Relations and Labour Laws are the book titles, because everything related to the topic whether its the legal aspect, disputes, the remuneration part and all are attempted to come in two books and students need not to search for other resources related to the topics while preparing for the same.

Just for an example Unit VI which is Industrial Disputes discusses the interventions by the central and state governments, but it also cover the acts like Industrial Employment (Standing Orders ) Act, 1946 and the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, which are the basic foundational acts which are mandatory to be followed by an employer as per the required guidelines. Unit number VII ( Labour Legislation ) and Unit number VIII ( Wages ), deals exclusively with the Labour Legislations and covers almost every act applicable in the prescribed organisations. I would suggest you to thoroughly read the syllabus as provided by UGC, and you will receive a more clear insight on this.
