The full form of NEST is National Entrance Screening Test, which is organized by the NISER, Bhubaneshwar, and UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai jointly. It is a computer-based test for the students who wants to get admission to the 5-year integrated M.Sc. program.
NEST Exam is conducted in 4 subjects i.e., Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy for Excellence in Basic Science (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai.

NEST 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The NEST 2022 Eligibility Criteria are the very basic requirement that you must follow to appear in the exam. Therefore, you need to ensure that you meet the required eligibility criteria such as Educational Qualification and the Age Limit.
NEST Exam Eligibility Criteria are divided into two parts Age limit and Education Qualification. You can check the complete information below-
Education Qualification: -
You must be from regular science stream in classes 10th &12th.
Must passed the 12th Std. in the year 2020, 2021, or has appeared in 2022 from from any recognised Higher Secondary Education Board in India.
At least 60% of the aggregate marks are required in the 12 Std. for General and OBC candidates from science backgrounds.
50% of the aggregate marks are required for SC/ST/ Divyangjan candidates.
Note:- If you satisfy all the above criteria, the you will be considered for admission on the basis of the Merit List of the NEST 2022.
Age Limit: -
For General and OBC you must be born on or after August 01, 2002.
For SC/ST/Divyangjan the Age limit is relaxed for 5 years.
How to Apply for NEST 2022 Exam
The conducting authority has released the NEST 2022 Application form from 21st Febraury 2022. So, if you want to appear in the NEST Entrance Exam, filling the online registration form is the first process for it.
Here is the complete step by step procedure to fill the NEST 2022 Application form below: -
Step 1 - Go to the NEST official website and click on the link “Online Application”
Step 2 - Fill all the required details and click on the “submit” button.
Step 3 - After completing the registration process, you will get a unique ID and password.
Step 4 - Now, login to the homepage with your registration ID and Password.
Step 5 - Fill the personal details and upload your scanned documents (Passport Size Photo and Signature) as per specification.
Step 6 - Verify all the details and click on the “submit” button to complete your NEST 2022 application form process.
Step 7 – Once you submit the form, you will be redirected to the fee payment procedure.
Step 8 – Download a hard copy of your NEST Application form 2022.
NEST 2022 Application Fees
The NEST Exam fees for the male candidates who belong to General and OBC is Rs. 1,200/-
The application fee is Rs. 600/- for all the candidates who belong to SC/ST and
The fee can be deposited through an online payment method only.
Note: - In the entire process of the Application form you are not required to submit any document to the NEST Office.
NEST 2022 Exam Centre
While filling the application form, you have to choose the NEST 2022 Exam Centre for 5 cities according to your preferences.
