The full form of NEST is National Entrance Screening Test, which is organized by the NISER, Bhubaneshwar, and UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai jointly. It is a computer-based test so for the students who want to get admission to the 5-year integrated M.Sc. program.

NEST Exam is conducted in 4 subjects i.e., Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NSIER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy for Excellence in Basic Science (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai.

NEST 2021 Eligibility Criteria


The NEST 2021 Eligibility Criteria are the very basic requirement that you must follow to appear in the exam. To appear for this Entrance Exam, you need to ensure that you meet the required eligibility criteria such as Educational Qualification and the Age Limit.

NEST Exam Eligibility Criteria are divided into two parts Age limit and Education Qualification. You can check the complete information below-

Age Limit: -

For General and OBC you must be born on or after August 01, 2001.

For SC/ST/Divyangjan the Age limit is relaxed for 5 years.

Education Qualification: -

At least 60% of the aggregate marks are required in the 12 Standard for General and OBC candidates from science backgrounds.

50% of the aggregate marks are required for SC/ST/ Divyangjan candidates.

You must have a qualified degree of 12th standard in the year 2019, 2020, or 2021 from any Senior Secondary Boards of India.

Note:-  Candidates need to secure their position in the NEST merit list.



How to Apply for NEST 2021 Exam


Filling the online registration form is the first step to appear in the NEST Entrance Exam. So, keep yourself updated on the dates to fill the Online Application form for NEST 2021 Exam.

Here is the complete step by step procedure to fill the NEST 2021 Application form below: -

Step 1 - Go to the NEST official website and click on the link “Register to appear for the exam”

Step 2 - Fill all the required details and click on the “submit” button.

Step 3 - After completing the registration process, you will get a unique ID and password.

Step 4 - Now, login to the homepage with your registration ID and Password.

Step 5 - Fill all the personal details and upload your scanned documents (Passport Size Photo and Signature) as per specification.

Step 6 - Verify all the details and click on the “submit” button to complete your NEST 2021 application form process.

Step 7 – Once you submit the form, you will be redirected on fee payment procedure.

Step 8 – Download a hard copy of your NEST Application form 2021.



NEST 2021 Application Fees


The NEST Exam fees for the male candidates who belong to General and OBC is Rs. 1,200/-

The application fee is Rs. 600/- for all the candidates who belong to SC/ST and

The fee can be deposited through an online payment method only.


Note: - In the entire process of the Application form you need not submit any document to the NEST Office.
