Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

Potential is nothing but the amount of work done to bring a unit mass from a infinite distance to desired distance.. potential is a scalar quantity as work is also scalar. like in electrostatic F=(k q1 q2/r ^2) work done in bringing unit positive test charge to certain distance r means q2 = 1 we know work= F . r w= potential =( k q1 /r^2)* r =( k q1 /r ) (potential due to gravity is G m1/r) G= gravity const m1 = mass r= distance from m1
