Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore has Invited Applications for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) sponsored by DST-SERB in the School of Advanced Sciences (SAS), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Tamil Nadu.
The project is entitled “Prediction of Extreme Severe Cyclonic Storms over North Indian Ocean using High-Resolution Numerical Modeling System for Disaster Preparedness”.
?Number of Positions – 01 for Junior Research Fellow.
?Essential Qualifications –
- M.Sc./M.Tech or equivalent in Mathematics/Physics/Atmospheric Science/Environmental Science
- NET/GATE Qualified will be preferred.
?Desirable Qualifications - Candidates having knowledge in Numerical simulation and modeling, environmental monitoring, data assimilation.
?Emoluments – Rs. 31,000/ + HRA per month with NET/GATE. For candidates without NET/GATE, the stipend will be as per Institute norms.
