    Hi. The value p(A) or rho of a matrix A is called the spectral radius of the matrix. This is very advanced mathematical concept, rarely used in Economics. I'm sure this won't be asked in UGC NET. But for the sake of your question, here's what I learnt - In mathematics, the spectral radius of a square matrix or a bounded linear operator is the largest absolute value of its eigenvalues (i.e. supremum among the absolute values of the elements in its spectrum). It is sometimes denoted by ρ(·). Going by this definition, the answer should be (B) 2.
