Please explain the corresponding theory....................................

Q44. Two Stern-Gerlach apparatus S, and S, are kept in a line (x -axis). The directions of their magnetic fields are along the positive z and y -axes, respectively. Each apparatus only transmits particles with spins aligned in thee direction of its magnetic field. If an initially unpolarized beam of spin particles passes through this configuration, the ratio of intensities :1, of the initial and final beams is (a) 16:1 b) 2:1 (c) 4:1 (d) 1:0

Malus's Law. According to Malus, when completely plane polarized light is incident on the analyzer, the intensity I of the light transmitted by the analyzer is directly proportional to the square of the cosine of angle between the transmission axes of the analyzer and the polarizer.

according to me, option d is correct as when unpolarised light( vibration in all directions) passes through stern garlach appartus having z axis then the light start vibrating in z direction then again passing through apparatus but this tym the axis of apparatus is along y axis so no light is observed therefore zero intensity will the resultant.... hence 1:0is the ans
