    correct answer is C... EDTA is a chelating agents means it interacts with Mg ions and prevent its binding with ribosomal subunit... Mg ions are essential for the formation of complete ribosome... In bacteria, more than one ribosomes can be present on an mRNA at a particular time... therefore we can observe peaks of both subunits as well as monosomes and polysomes... but after the treatment with EDTA... all ribosomes dissociates into two subunits... after this treatment, if we want to reverse the condition then only monosomes can be formed and not polysomes
