The school level education enforces the policy of free and compulsory education for girls and socially disadvantaged section of society. This represents the drive for equity and equality. Education is absolutely central to ensuring that no one is left behind. More equal societies have better general health, more innovation and higher social mobility. Equity equals efficiency and well-being. Equitable investment in education does not only benefit the most marginalized but everyone in society. Investing in education will help countries to reach progress towards all SDGs. The cost of inaction to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and provide lifelong-learning opportunities for all by far exceeds the cost of action.
