UGC NET 2022 Exam Postponed!

National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully organized the UGC NET Phase I Merged Cycle (December 2021 and June 2022 Examination) on 09th, 11th, and 12th July 2022. It was conducted for 33 Subjects at 310 Examination Centres in 225 Cities across the Country.

UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has officially announced that the second phase of the UGC NET 2022 examination is re-scheduled between 20th and 30th September 2022. Earlier, it was going to be held on the 12th, 13th, and 14th of August 2022.

UGC NET Phase 2 Exam Postponed

 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) and UGC have decided on Monday (8th August) to postpone the second phase of the UGC NET Exam December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles). However, they have not mentioned any reason to delay the exam.

In its brief statement, the NTA said that the “UGC NET Phase 2 Exam has been rescheduled and will now be conducted between 20th and 30th September 2022, which involves 64 subjects”.

Previously, the exams for Telugu and Marathi subjects scheduled in Phase I were also postponed to Phase II due to State Departmental exams conducted in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

UGC NET Admit Card 2022 Postponed

 

The release of NTA NET Admit Cards has also been postponed for phase 2 exams involving 64 subjects.

As per the officials, UGC NET 2022 Admit Cards for candidates who want to appear in the Phase 2 exam will be released on 16th September 2022, and the City of Examination Centre shall be displayed on 11th September 2022.

 

 

Procedure to Download UGC NET Admit Card 2022

 

In order to download admit card, you will have to enter your registration number and date of birth on the NTA login portal.

Below is the step-by-step procedure to download the UGC NET Admit card 2022 for the Phase 2 exam.

Step 1 - Go to the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

Step 2 - Find the link, “Download Phase 2 Admit Card for UGC-NET Dec. 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles).

Step 3 - Enter the login details such as the application number, date of birth, and security pin.

Step 4 - Your UGC NET Phase 2 Admit Card 2022 will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5 - Download the UGC NET hall ticket and take a printout of it for future reference.

Since on the 9th, 11th, and 12th of July 2022, NTA administered the UGC NET Phase I Examination for 33 Subjects. Now, the Phase 2 exam will be conducted in 64 subjects.
