    You can read the book COMMONWEALTH LITERATURE by William Walsh. but better to read FREDERIC JAMESON and his ideas on third world literature and Aijaj Ahmed's critique of it.

    SALMAN RUSHDIE questioned the notion of common wealth itself as there is no cohesiveness and coherence in the idea of the commonwealth. so when the notion of commonwealth does not exist for him, it is evident that he won't accept thr category of common wealth literature.
