Longinus explores the elememt of sublimity in writing and states that five sources can lead to this goal: great thoughts, noble diction, dignified word arrangement strong emotions and particular figures of speech or thoughts. Grandiloquence means grand eloquence which needs to be achieved by writers to get to this notion of sublime level and some writers who in the process tend to over do things lead to a false sense of sublime which is termed as frigidy where the wriitng is tardy.
