    Polyadenylation can also occur in prokaryotes. In E.coli, polyadenylation occurs in some mRNA by the addition of poly A tail of 10 to 40 nucleotides. The process is catalyzed by poly A polymerase associated with ribosomes. The nucleases - PNPase and RNaseE bind poly A tail and then degrade that mRNA.
