In response to your questions: 1. Which type of topography and climatic conditions are suitable for the formation of bauxite deposit Ans: Formation of plateau type bauxite deposits need pronounced weathering. In order to achieve that the topography should be flat (horizontal). It forms when laterite soils are severely leached of silica and other soluble materials in a wet (humid) tropical or subtropical climate. 2. Two essential minerals found in bauxite Ans: The aluminium minerals in bauxite can include: gibbsite Al(OH)3, Boehmite AlO(OH), and, Diaspore AlO(OH). 3. Ans: A is gas zone, B is oil zone and C is water zone. The reason is the density; density of water is greater than oil and density of oil is greater than that of gas. Highest density material (water) will remain at bottom and lowest density material (gas) will remain at top. Oil will occur in between water and gas in zone B
