    great . do Lyotard, Baudrillard and Jameson thoroughly among others . Linda hutcgeon is also important . relate it to globalization and also to simulacra and metanarrative.

    I completed all these theorists... Baudrillard, I also studied as a Cultural theorist, and concepts like simulacrum, Hyperreality.... In Globalization I studied Arjun Appadurai and other throrist and also did related studies like Glocalization.

    great. also understand the questioning of the metanarrative as well. and the difference between modernism and post modernism. relating post colonial to post modern and globalization and or glocalisation is also necessary. read some related literature to it too.

    Jeremy Bentham in the work "Management of the Poor" used the term panopticon in the modern sense to talk of surveillance based on a drawing by Willey Revelry 1791. it was a type of institutional building for control of hospitals, schools, sanatorium, asylums, etc. Later in 1975 , Michel Foucault used the term in Discipline and Punishment to talk about all liknds of surveillance of the modern nation state. such as CCTV CAMERAS and mobile phone apps that are used for surveillance.
