Answer-4 - Excitatory Potential. Drive Reduction Theory- Hull The notion that behaviour occurs in response to 'drive' such as hunger, thirst, sexual, interest, feeling cold etc. when the goal of the drive is attained (food, water) drive is Reduced , and this constitutes reinforcement of the behaviour that lead to the drive reduction and ultimately learning. Hull learning theory focuses mainly on the principle of reinforcement when S-R Relationship is followed by a reduction of the need, the probability increases that in future similar situations the same stimulus will create the same prior response. Formula Gave - SEr= V*D*K*J *SHr -Slr- Ir-Sor-Slr SEr is Excitatory potential (intervening variable) that organism produce a response (r) to stimulus (s) .
