(0 (D) y = 0 +-d Conalder the following statement, in case of Young's double-slit experiment (A) (D) (C) (D) 10 Initial slit is necessary if we use an ordinary extended source of light. Initial slit is not needed if we used on ordinary but well collimated beam of light. Initial slit is not needed if we used a spatially coherent source of light. Initial alit is necessary if we used on coherent source of light.

we always want perfect coherent light beams for interference to happen. that's why we use slit s.if source are already coherent and monochromatic we don't need that slit S. so all option correct except option d.

Options A,B and C are correct as (A)initial slit makes it point source. (B) collimated beam can also work as point source. (C) if beam is already coherent, then there is no need of first slit. Regards.

option a,b,c is correct. because for interference we need coherent source, all the three produce coherent source i.e the extended source, collimated beam and spartially coherent source...

    eduncle-logo-app

option d is incorrect because If the source is itself coherent, then no slit is required for the interference of light.

all options are correct as for interference pattern, we need coherent beam of light.. so we produce coherent source in all the cases i.e extended source, collimated beam of light, spartially coherent source...

coherent light needed for interference can be obtained in following three methods : 1) using slit 2) well collimated beam( like laser) 3) spatial or temporal coherent beams already available . so opyion A,B,C are correy
