Yes plates means lithosphere plates that is combination of crust and upper part of upper mantle . Tectonics plates are plates on which tectonic activities are observed significantly.. They are used interchangeable

Yes, In the question they are asking about lithospheric plates. Average thickness of lithospheric plate is nearly around 100kms. And yes, tectonic plates are indeed equivalent to lithospheric plates.

means if he ask thickness of continental plate then also answer would be 100 km?

Please ask me in case of any doubt

Average thickness of continental plate is little bit greater than 100kms. Lithospheric plates thickness means average of both the continental plate and oceanic plates. Oceanic plate is little bit thinner than continental plate but when you will take the average of both (average of both continental and oceanic plate will be the average thickness of thickness of lithospheric plates), that will come around 100kms i.e. the average thickness of lithospheric plates.
