f(a) = a, f(b) =b ,now in [a,(a+b)/2] applying mean value theorem we get{ f(a+b)/2 - f(a)}/{(b-a)/2 = f'(C1) in same way, applying on [a+b/2, b] we get ,f'(C2) = {f(b) -f(a+b)/2}/{(b-a)/2 ,now doing f'(C1) + f'(C2) we get 1. Hence Ans is 1.
