Correct answer is option ( C). Phosphatase enzyme Will remove the Phosphate group from the end of the terminal. Thus the -OH group won't be able to Form bond with next nucleotide molecule. Thus it wont be ligated each other again towards the ends. A phosphatase is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of a nucleotide, forming a nucleoside and a phosphate ion.
