Option C is correct
D glucose is a mixture of two form one is alpha D glucose and another is beta D glucose
Alpha D glucose has optical rotation of +112° and beta D glucose has optical rotation of +18.7°
Due to mutarotation, the specific rotation of D glucose is +52.7°
I always get confused in alpha, beta,D &L terms (in alpha-D Glucose, beta-D Glucose)....can you please explain this to me..?
alpha and beta D glucose are anomers...and the configuration changes in both cases at C1 carbon atom
