Hydration is the process in which the mineral react with water and alters to another mineral. If u only know the formula of olivine and talc then u can see that talc is a hydrous mineral while olivine is an anhydrous mineral so alteration of anhydrous mineral to a hydrous mineral is only possible by hydration process. so correct option is B.
