    option B is correct. Tetrahedral geometry does not have center of symmetry so we don't use g & u

    g and u labels are only used when the molecule itself possesses the inversion symmetry element(centrosymmetric molecule).Symmetry labels are defined by whether the orbital maintains its original character after rotating about its center: if so, it is defined gerade, g; if the orbital does not maintain its original character, it is ungerade, u. So option B is correct..CH4 has tetrahedral geometry not centrosymmetric or inversion symmetry elements. So parity g and u are not used
