1.The intensity of cosmic ray is minimum at the equator. This is due to magnetic field of the earth.  2.Radioactivity powers earth's internal heat engine ...

is mantle enriched in incompatible elements?

    eduncle-logo-app

No crust is enriched in incompatible elements

    eduncle-logo-app

yes sir but crust is so much less in volume than mantle. and crust is resultant of mantle

    eduncle-logo-app

i know that crust is rich in incompatible elements but if we take same volume

    eduncle-logo-app

in comptible means those which remains in liquid...a small melt of mantle takes incompatible elements to melt and ultimately it after differentiation forms crust so crust is enriched

    1) Cosmic ray intensity is minimum at equator because the magnetic field intensity at equator is least... 2) Earth's internal heat is all about the radioactivity which is due to radioactive elements present (just like K is present in granite which contribute towards earth's heat).

    Any doubt?

    eduncle-logo-app

sir i thought in the way as atmosphere is thicker at equator and sun rays( cosmic rays) coming from sun with reached minimum at equator?.

    eduncle-logo-app

& according to you how we are relating MF & cosmic rays sir

    eduncle-logo-app

    2) but i thought 80 percent heat is internal heat & 20 percent by radioactive elements? is it not so sir.

    eduncle-logo-app

But here it asks what is the factor that triggered the internal heat engine in earth, so that has to be radioactive heat. As radioactive elements are present in parts of the earth just like i mentioned in my answer....

See gurmeet, cosmic ray is dependent on geomagnetic latitude of the earth and as you have already read that at poles latitude is 90° and at equator it is 0° . So clearly Intensity will be minimum at equator...Wait I'm attaching a figure for more clearer view..

If you have any other confusion do let me know

See the variation of intensity with latitude.

is mantle enriched in incompatible elements.?. as it makes maximum volume of earth.

    eduncle-logo-app

Well as per definition of incompatible elements, those elements which are enriched in crust and depleted in mantle. While the compatible elements are the one that depleted in crust and enriched in mantle(like nickel, chromium, titanium, etc.) as mantle minerals don't have sites for large ions to substitute.
