    option A here Ni has zero oxidation state so d10 configuration. there is no vacant orbitals to accept electron so transition is not possible. The complex[NiCl4]2− exhibits the lowest energy absorption band because the ligand Cl− is a weak field ligand while others are strong field therefore it has the lowest Δo value and hence lowest energy absorption band. Hence option A is correct.
