    SEE THE BLACK LINES ARE UPPER LAYER and Red dotted are lower layer so when we are going to measure the thickness then the upper layer and exactly the below lower layer should be taken. so we observe which red line dotted layer faliing exactly below or you can say coincides black layer .

    Here all the bed contacts are parallel to contour so they are horizontal beds. And how the stratum and contours are of different heights it's a confusing question. .. if beds are horizontal then the vertical thickness should be like 530-520 =10m so it's a unimaginable question.

    Ohh I thought of these red lines are contours that's why created a great confusion ok then it's correct explanation. 25 meter is the answer.
