Actually this answer can have range of answers. Bu specifically talking as per various books, Velocity of P-Wave in lower crust(V1) = 6.7km/s Velocity of P-Wave in upper mantle (or uppermost mantle as moho is the discontinuity between lower crust and upper most mantle), V2= 7.97km/s So, percentage increase = (7.97-6.7)/6.7×100= 18.95% Percentage increase= 18.95% .
