    and when mass which string has to will be double then tension will string will double....because tring will feel stretched....

    dear.....bcoz acceleration is due to Mass M which is suspended.....but the other mass is 2M which is twice time heavy.......so acceleration will be half....becoz due to double mass it's velocity will be half hence acceleration will also be half
