For this situation the rate of change of total energy must me positive and angular momentum will remain constant that is rate of change of angular momentum will zero. Hence the option c is correct

can you please explain why change of energy must be positive?

    eduncle-logo-app

Because moon and earth is a bounnded system and total energy of the moon is nagative to be in bounded system so to go away from the earth it need positive energy thatal is why rate of change of energy should be positive

hope this will helps to understand
