    We have, porosity (p) = 41% = 0.41 Let void ratio be 'e', then relationship between void ratio and porosity is given by-- e= p/(1-p) = 0.41/(1-0.41) e= 0.41/0.59 = 0.69 So void ratio (e) = 0.69 (correct up to 2 decimal places) .
