1,2-diaminopropane (pn) is an unsymmetrical bidentate ligand. The complex [Co(en)(pn)(NO2)2]+ can form two cis and two trans isomers. Both the cis forms give two optical. while trans isomer is optically inactive..so total isomers are 5 not 4. isomers as shown below.

Sir i am asking for only geometrical isomers not total isomers.

    but I've explained everything

    yes sir..Thank u..☺

    you welcome

sir. Those 2 trans isomers are equivalent and can be obtained by rotation of 180°.So how those trans isomers are different from each other

    eduncle-logo-app

it gives only one trans and two cis isomers.. trans isomer is optically inactive due to molecular plane while both of two cis isomers are optically active so the total isomers (OI + GI) are 5

yes. Sir. there is a mistake in the material. It says 2 cis and 2 trans
