i had choosen option *a* because of small ionic radii..... but correct answer is d how?? since MgO has Mg+2 so acc. toh fajans rule it will polarize the bond more so it should show high covalent character.....thus low ionic character w.r.t other given compound...thus low Lattice energy......so how option D is correct??

    yes, Among the given species, MgO is bi-bivalent ionic compound. Hence it has maximum lattice energy
