Answer (C) Non-deposition or scour In any Stratigraphic sequence, a bedding plane indicates short duration hiatus in deposition or scouring. Due to short duration non-deposition, a prominent visible bedding plane is observed in the stratigraphic sequence. Keep in mind that bedding plane indicates short duration non-deposition condition; long duration non-deposition will mark unconformity.
