    (d). in such kind of questions you have to go through options, think about that, find some counter examples or favour examples that either satisfy or not satisfy the conditions which are given in the question. and conclude the observation. here I assume that you know about the rank of matrix. here it is basic that det(-A)= (-1)^n * det(A), where n is order of matrix. rank of A is = k, tell us that no cofactor of A , order greater than k exists whose determinant is non-zero, and k is the greatest order of cofactor for which the the determinant of that cofactor is non zero explanation of above question is in the attachment-
