    Tabular cross bedding is usually formed by migration of 2D bedforms. As name suggest it is tabular which means formed by migration 2D dunes and ripples. 2D means straight crested ripples or dunes(Note- 3D bedforms are formed as flow regimes shifted to higher flow velocity, like in case of ripples straight crested will transform to lunate, lingoid ripples mainly).
