    Option C is correct Stereoisomers are the isomers that have same molecular formula but different 3D-arrangement of atoms in space.  No. of stereoisomers = 2^n where, n= no. of chiral carbon In glucose, n=4 as 4 chiral carbons are present.  Therefore, possible 3-D isomers = 2^4=16

    option C Glucose has four chiral carbons in its aldehyde form, and so there are 24, or 16 possible stereoisomers of this formula, only one of which is dextrose [(+)-glucose]. These 16 isomers are shown in Fig.
