A point charge q sit at corer of a cube of side a as shown in figur the flux of the electric feild vector through the shaded side is

    dear, ans is q/24*epsilon.. now try to analysis the figure that I am saying to u. look u have a charge at the corner of cube so make a big cube (containing this small cube )that is made up of 8small cubes so the charge is at the vertex that is common to all the eight cubes. Now charge is enclosed in this big cube(that contains 8cube) so the flux through this enclosed surface is q/epsilon and through one face is q/6*epsilon (because big cube has 6 face) .note that the one face of big cube is made up of face of four small cubes so the total flux through one face of small cube is 1/(6*4)*epsilon... hope u get me.

    flux will pass through those faces that do not share the charge...this is the fundamental concept of that type of prob
