option c, addition of excess glucose in the medium bcoz if glucose is present in excess, bacteria would prefer to utilize glucose over lactose due to which the lac operon model will remain switch off. more glucose results in more ATP and less cAMP due to which cAMP CAP protein complex is not formed and lac operon is further repressed. this effect is also known as the glucose effect.
