A system contains diopside,dolomite ,quartz along with h2o as fluid .calculate the no of degrees of freedom under isobaric condition

    Answer: F=2 Diopside is MgCaSi ₂O₆ Dolomite is CaMg(CO₃)₂ Quartz is SiO2 Number of phases (P)= 4 (Diopside, Dolomite, Quartz, Fluid) Number of Components (C)= 5 (CaO, MgO, SiO2, H2O, CO2) Degree of Freedom (F) under isobaric condition = C-P+1 = 5-4+1 = 2

    P+F=C+1. Cao, mgo,sio2,H2o,Co2 are components, given minerals are phases apply formula to get answers
