A system contains minerals grossular ,kyanite ,quartz and anorthite.the no of components in this system is

    Ans: 3 (CaO, SiO2, Al2O3) Grossular is Ca3Al2(SiO4)3, Kyanite is Al2SiO5 and Quartz is SiO2. Component is the minimum number of constituents which can make up all the available phases in the system. In order to generate all three phases Grossular, Kyanite and Quartz; we must have 3 components SiO2, Al2O3 and CaO.

    The chemical formula of pure anorthite is CaAl2Si2O8. KYANITE Al2SIO5 GROSSULAR It has the chemical formula of Ca₃Al₂(SiO₄)₃ Quartz is SIO2 SO :- Al2O3,Cao,sio2 3 component component basically is the minimum no of chemical constituent makes all the phases in a system. mainly major oxides constitute the components
