Rake on vertical dyke is 90 degree , rake on coal seam is 68 degree of that lineation ..... plunge is 41 degree and trend is 090. the dotted intersect point is the line of intersection

in this case is plunge equal to rake ?

what is the pitch or rake of line on both vertical dyke and coal seam

    eduncle-logo-app

Since dike is vertical the plunge and rake of intersection line in dike will be same (40.89°) because in any vertical plane the plunge and pitch/rake of any line is equal. In case of coal seam the rake of intersection line will be around 60°.

i m just getting a bit confused, how did u get rake 60° of coal seam?

    please guide me

In case of coal seam, you have to measured the angle between intersection line and strike direction of the coal seam. The strike direction of coal seam is 150 and the intersection line is trending 090° so the rake should be approximately equal to 150-90= 60°. It will not be exactly 60° but somewhere around this value.
