ans is 3/8 we take only P(X>1) and solve by take limit 1 to 2 we get f(x) by differentiate the F(x) it is a continuous probability so P(X=0) = P(X=1.5) = P(X=2) = 0 because in continuous probability , probability at a constay (point) is 0

i think ans 3/8 is correct ... because it is continuous probability . and its define on interval only .. so all terms are 0 except P (X>=1) and we can solve by take limit 1 to 2

I thought so too dude. for continuous RV, probability at a point is zero. but answer is 7/8

if ans is 7/8 then it take probability at point??

    eduncle-logo-app

plz send solution , because probability at a point is zero at continuous probability

3/8 will be correct ans. might be there is misprint ...btw can u pls tell the books name from where this question is..

as i take refrence from s.c.gupta sir book .. there is no question in continuous probability that have value (except 0) at a point .. if there is no interval in question then ans is 7/8 but , there is interval then it is continuous probability which is zero at a point

7/8 is possible when we take discrete probability concept then we get 7/8.. if we not include the P(X=1.5) because P(X=0) is 1/2 , P(X,>=1) is 3/8 ,P(X=2) is 0 ,P(X=1.5) is 1/8but i don't know that this concept is correct or not

plz clear by faculty and notify me..
