After loosing electron from m why electrons donot go in solution but accumulated on rod itself od which will, therefore, develop a negative c

mec mcial has relatively higher tendency to get oxidized, reaction (2) will occur, the electrons w late the metal od which will, therefore, develop a negative charge. This in turm may attract some s from athe solution which may change into metal atoms. Ultimately, an equilibrium is reached as eal ins frOm the sc alows Thas in either case, there is a separation of charges between the metal rod and its ions in the SOLuuon. Asa esul, a potential difference exists between them. M M+ ne
