sir how do you know that angle should be from -90 to 90

x²+y²=2ax in first and third quarter

convert into poler form

Sir i am able to take out range of r but not of angle.

x²+y²=2ax put x= r cos© y = r sin© we get r²= 2ar cos © => r=0 or r= 2a cos© which is circle lie in 1 and 4th quarter
