    The number of minerals present = Number of phase (P) Given, Number of components (C) = 7 (sio2, al2o3, na2o, k2o, mno, cao and mgo) Degree of freedom (F) = 2 Using, F = C - P + 2 i.e., 2 = 7 - P + 2 i.e., P = 7 i.e., the number of minerals present in the system at equilibrium condition is 7
