Ans. (c) JAM PH-20181 110. The equation of state for one mole of a non-ideal gas is 1 d given by PV = A1+ where the coefficients A and B are temperature dependent. If the volume changes from to V, in an isothermal process, the wOTK aO by the gas is (a) AB ( (b) AB In (V2 A In + AB V (c) +B (d) A In JAM PH

here is ur solution... also u asked that it is an isothermal process then why we use PdV for work done.. so dear, work done is always PdV ,it changes its form according to the process, u can see in my attached page(second one), PdV changes to nRTln(v2/v1) in isothermal process (because in isothermal dU is zero) so work done is always PdV, here in this question, equation of state PV is different ( see the solution, and for any doubt u can ask)...

also PdV is zero in isochroic and PdV remains PdV in isobaric..

for our Convience, we change its form so that we can directly find the work done just by putting values

hope u will get me.. for further discussion, must ask..

it is an isothermal process. then how can be use the equation W=pdv. this equation is suitable for an isobaric process.

    eduncle-logo-app

dear for isothermal T is constant and here we are not using any T

    eduncle-logo-app

so we can do it like this

ok mam, thank u so much
