Are bedding plane and cleavage plane different?. given ans b& d

In an outcrop we find that the bedding planes are vertical and cleavage surfaces are horizontal. Which of the following fold types is/are inferred from this observation ? (A) Upright fold (B) Recumbent fold (C) Vertical fold (D) Neutral fold C,D A, B, C, D B,C

    Yes bedding and cleavage are two different things ... Bedding is formed by sedmintation and Cleavage is formed perpendicular to maximum compression Direction. bedding planes are vertical and Cleavage is horizontal it could be a recumbent fold.. Neutral is also possible.
